It’s been slightly more than two months since I got here and I have made friends with different
people in my classes. The class I have been enjoying the most so far is probably Economics because it’s different from the subjects I normally study.
I have been doing CrossFit at a gym in Springfield, the town in which I am staying, and I met some very nice people there as well.
I still haven’t been able to travel outside Oregon but I will be going to Seattle next week and
I’m very excited to see what it looks like. I met some of my host family’s relatives and they are all really nice!
To sum up, I am really enjoying my stay, making new experiences and trying to learn something
My experience here in Oregon is going very well, as well as my time at school. I’m really enjoying the time here, with my family, my host brothers and host sisters, and my friends at Marist.
Halloween in America is something I’ll never forget, and I would be so happy to have the possibility to experience it again. We went, with the whole family, trick or treating, and I have to say I enjoyed it very much, also because of the candies I received! I also carved a pumpkin with my friends at school, and we had so much fun!!
To sum it up, I’m really happy I chose to participate to this exchange program, because I found beautiful people who I’ll never forget. Plus, there is the possibility for my host family to come to Italy once, and I’m already excited for that.
Greetings from Eugene!!!
School is going well, I made lots of friends and we high five every time we see each other around the school.
We go around the school and have fun. Halloween party was amazing as well as the entertaining events organized by the school.
I won the first prize (candies and a Dutch bros gift card) for the best Halloween costume of the high school too!!
I’m getting along with teachers and friends in my school.
My host family is fantastic, we always go to different places and we do crazy stuff like playing with a loaf of bread in the street as if it was an American football ball or new experiences like helping my host father cutting trees down.
To sum up, we’re having good time and I really feel part of the family: everyone has a role in helping with the house duties.
Yesterday we went to see the women’s Olympic basketball team of Oregon playing against the Beavers in Portland and this Friday I’ll go to L.A. with my host mother to Disneyland and to the cinematic Studios with Paula and her host family.
